Held at the Porto Development Centre, the initiative brought together employees and members of the wider business community around a meaningful cause. We extended the invitation to other companies in the building, once again turning the campaign into a collective effort.
Following the strong response to previous editions, our team answered the call for another year. From first-time donors to returning participants, each person contributed to a cause rooted in kindness, responsibility and the willingness to help those who need it most.
This year, 92 blood donations were collected. Considering that each donation may help save up to three lives, this total has the potential to support up to 276 people, highlighting how a simple gesture can make a significant difference.
As a gesture of appreciation, and in line with the initiative’s focus on health and well-being, ITSector also offered each participating team member a wellness gift composed of a first-aid kit, designed to be kept close at hand, and a personalised thermometer.
For ITSector, this campaign reflects an ongoing commitment to social responsibility and active citizenship. By encouraging employees to take part in causes with social impact, the company continues to strengthen a culture of awareness, empathy and engagement with the communities around it.
More than a blood donation campaign, this was a reminder that small acts can create a lasting change. In just a few minutes, each donor helped create a possible turning point in someone else’s life.
